Goroschenko Gleb

1899 — 1974

Gleb Timofeevich Goroshchenko graduated from the Higher Art and Technical Studios (1921 - 1927). He studied with K. Korovin, A. Arkhipov, A. Vasnetsov. In the field of graphics, the teachers of the artist were V. Faliliev and D. Moor. He was exhibited along with “AHRR” in 1925, participated in the “Anti-Imperialist Exhibition” of 1931, as a poster artist.

During the war years, while being evacuated in Uzbekistan, he created the “Samarkand” series of watercolors and lithographs. After returning to Moscow, he taught at the Polygraphic Institute for many years, engaged in monumental painting. Solo exhibitions in Moscow were held in 1945, 1959, 1961. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1967).
