Koba Elena

Elena Koba was born in 1959 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Elena Koba graduated from Yaroslavl Art University where she studied under the supervision of the great artist and talented professor Andrei Churin. Later Elena Koba moved to Moscow and in 1990 she graduated from the All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (VGIK), the workshop of I. Ivanov-Vano. Her teachers there were famous Russian producer and animator Stanislav Sokolov and the Soviet cinematographer Gennady Myznikov. After graduation she worked as animator and took part in production of two animated cartoons: “The Cat that walked by itself” and “How beautiful the moon shines today”.

Elena Koba started her exhibition activity in1980s and still takes part in exhibitions every year. In 2006 her personal exhibition “In search of lost time” took place in Moscow. The artist takes part in charity auctions and gives art lessons for disabled children.

Artworks by Elena Koba are represented in private collections in Russia, Europe, China, Japan, Australia and Great Britain.
