Evgeny Aleksandrovich Shukaev is Soviet graphic artist, architect, illustrator, cartoonist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. After serving in the army he graduated from the State Institute of Cinematography, worked as an animator. He began working in the satirical magazine "Crocodile" in 1955, where for many years he was the chief artist of the magazine. He is also known as an illustrator of many children's books, including authors such as Anatoly Pogodin and Victor Dragunsky.
