Ustinov Evgeniy

Evgeny Alekseevich Ustinov — graphic artist, painter, sculptor. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the International Association of Fine Arts — UNESCO AIAP. He graduated from the Industrial Art School named after M. Kalinin (painting department), Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov (graphic faculty, easel graphic department). His teachers were famous Soviet artists: E. Kibrik, Y. Reiner, M. Dobrov, M. Rodionov, M. Matorin, M. Cheremnykh. Since 1964, the artist was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, since 1972 — a teacher at the Moscow Art School, in 1994 — 1995 — Associate Professor at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.

Ustinov mastered the variety of graphic techniques: etching, lithography, woodcut, linocut, monotype, mezzotint, charcoal drawing, Manchurian walnut, quill pen and pastel. He especially liked to work with gouache, watercolor, lead and colored pencils. He created a separate cycle of works on Pushkin's fairy tales. He independently studied the technique of oil painting, worked on a sculpture from different wood species.

The author had more than 150 solo exhibitions in Russia, Spain, Finland, England, Belgium, Ethiopia. His works are represented in the collections of the Pushkin Museum of Literature in Moscow, museums of Saransk, Tambov, Maloyaroslavets, Borovsk, Magadan, Rostov-on-Don, museums-estates of Ostafyevo and Zakharovo, private collections in Russia and abroad.
